Talk about being committed to your job. One Chinese reporter was on the way to her wedding on Saturday when news broke of an earthquake in southwest China. The hardcore reporter decided to cover the story while still decked out in her wedding dress.

Chen Ying appeared on-air in her wedding gown in the city of Ya’an, where an earthquake killed approximately 157 people and injured more than 5,000.

The image of her in full wedding attire went viral on a Twitter-like Chinese website called Sina Weibo, according to The South China Morning Post.

Ying has been getting kudos for her “professional spirit” and her quick reporting. A bunch of high-fives is the least she deserves. Get this lady an award for her awesome commitment to journalism!

It’s unclear if she has rescheduled the wedding, but our fingers are crossed that she’ll eventually make it down the aisle. Who knows? Maybe another crazy story will keep this badass reporter from getting the intended use out of her now-famous wedding gown.
