You would think Beyonce wouldn’t find herself faced with not measuring up to beauty standards, but apparently that’s not the case.

Catch Beyonce in H&M’s summer ads? She posed in the Swedish chain’s summery bikinis for the campaign — one ad graced a bus shelter near me and the singer even looks good blown up larger than life. But I guess the execs at H&M didn’t think Beyonce looked good enough, because she says they wanted to use images that had been edited to make her look thinner.

To Bey’s credit, she stood her ground and refused to approve the airbrushed images. It’s depressing to realize that even someone as famously gorgeous as her gets told that she’s not good enough, but at least she knows otherwise.
