Guy With World’s Worst Tattoo Gets it Fixed

In all likelihood, you’ve seen a picture of this tattoo:

It’s been floating around the Internet for years, and it’s popularly held to be the world’s worst tattoo. Whatever butcher was responsible for it somehow managed to turn a beautiful woman into an ogre with a unibrow. It’s even sadder still when you notice the words surrounding the ugly visage: “In Loving Memory.” This woman’s lasting legacy makes her look like a goblin.

I’d be interested to know how many people were deterred from getting a portrait tattoo solely because they saw this picture.

Thankfully, the story of the world’s worst tattoo has a happy ending. The man whose arm bore the heinous piece of “artwork” took it to Scott Versago of Ohio’s Empire Ink and had it covered up with a much better portrait of his late wife. And, even better, Versago was so moved by the man’s story that he did the cover-up for free.

The improved version of the portrait is a bit dark, but clearly far superior to the original monstrosity. Though, to be fair, I’m pretty sure a blindfolded, highly caffeinated five-year-old could draw a better portrait than the original.
