Comedian Jon Lajoie Releases Witty Kickstarter Parody (VIDEO)
Are you a rich person looking to become super rich? That’s what Kickstarter is for!
In a new video, comedian/Everyday Normal Guy Jon Lajoie of The League takes a swing at the crowdfunding platform and how it’s helped raise money for the Veronica Mars movie and most recently, Girls star Zosia Mamet‘s music video. Take a look:
“I’m by most standards rich, or even very rich,” he says. “For example, on an income scale, at the very bottom, you have homeless people, decorated war veterans, school teachers, doctors, lawyers, then all the way up here you have me, since what I do is way more important than those other things.”
He adds: “By you simply handing over your hard earned money to me, I can become super rich, without the pressure of actually doing something.”
Jon’s looking for fans to donate a total of $500 million in 90 days so that he can become “like, Jay-Z rich.” You can visit his website to “donate” $50, $500, $1,000, $10,000 or another amount simply by submitting a form. He’s already made over 10 billion hypothetical dollars!
