I have always been impressed by people who are even halfway proficient at playing a musical instrument. It’s such a great skill to have, and it takes a lot of practice (and a bit of talent) to get really good at it. That’s why I love this video of a 14-year-old girl just slaying on the guitar: she’s so good already, and she’s just a teenager!

Now, I don’t really know anything about guitar. I can’t play guitar, not even a little bit. I can sort of barely read music, and took a few years of piano lessons that were mostly unproductive. But I still know this performance of Van Halen’s “Eruption” is awesome.

This isn’t even the first time Tina has received some Internet fame for her guitar-playing prowess. She performed a classical guitar track by Ferdinando Carulli on YouTube a few years ago, and wasn’t too shabby then either.

Let’s all just ignore the insults the commenters manage to come up with for a teenager who’s already really great at something. Shred on, Tina! We think you rock.
