Selena Gomez Calls Relationship With Justin Bieber ‘Intense, Crazy, Uncomfortable’
Selena Gomez and Justin Bieber may be back together, for now — but she says it’s been “crazy and intense” to date a fellow pop star.
In the upcoming June issue of InStyle, the 20-year-old musician and actress opened up about her rocky relationship with the Biebs.
“It’s uncomfortable that everywhere I go, people know,” she continues. “I don’t like that. But Justin and I never really focused on the attention. You can’t help who you date.”
She says that the most important thing in their relationship is honesty, adding, “You have to have honesty when you’re living this lifestyle because of the distance imposed when working. You are separated so often. You have to be super-honest and open. That is key.”
Selena also talks about relationships in “Love Will Remember,” the breakup ballad from her upcoming album Stars Dance. It’s “the most personal track on the record for sure,” she says, adding that she’s sure Justin “will love it too.”
“I think it’s a sweet way of releasing it,” she explains. “It’s not an aggressive approach to what people are probably expecting.”
Selena also recently released her video for “Come and Get It,” the album’s single.
“It was fun for me to have a little bit more creative control of it,” she told MTV.
