Makeup is so far out of many dudes’ realm of experience that it can be baffling how little they know about it.

Why, just the other day, I explained to a grown man the difference between eyeliner and mascara. For something that lots of us ladies spend such a significant chunk of our time on every day, the men in our lives are often totally uninformed about how and why we wear it.

This point is perfectly illustrated in a video from Cristen Conger of Stuff Mom Never Told You. In it, she hands over her makeup bag to her adorable boyfriend and has him do her makeup with only minimal instruction.

The results are, predictably, hilarious. Plus, Cristen trots out a bunch of really interesting makeup facts that’ll make you wonder why you even wear the dang stuff. Entertaining and educational? We’re in!
