Durex Creates ‘Fundawear’ for Long-Distance Lovers (VIDEO)

In case you hadn’t noticed, Durex isn’t just selling condoms anymore. Just like Trojan and other condom brands, the company has recently moved beyond the world of latex prophylactics and come out with a fairly cheap, low quality line of sex toys.

Now, they’re stepping up their game with a new offering they call Fundawear.

First, let’s get one thing straight: Fundawear is an entirely separate thing from Fundies, the “underwear for two” that’s a popular gag gift at bachelorette parties.

In fact, Fundawear is Durex’s high-tech solution to the lack of physical intimacy that frustrates couples in long-distance relationships. It allows lovers separated by geography to continue getting it on with a little help from their smartphones.

Here’s how it works:

Each person puts on a pair of Fundawear (they come in both men’s and women’s styles), which contain an array of vibrating sensors. Then, both partners switch on the accompanying app.

The app features an illustration of either a man’s or woman’s body, which the user can explore using their phone’s touchscreen. Whichever part is touched will be stimulated by sensors in the Fundawear. Here’s an (obviously NSFW) demonstration of the vibrating underwear:

Durex is calling their newest product “the future of foreplay,” which is a bit of an overstatement given that remote stimulation isn’t exactly a new concept. While Fundawear hasn’t hit stores yet, Durex is currently giving its Australian fans the opportunity to enter a contest to win a pair of these electric sex pants.

What do you think? Would you try Fundawear? Let me know in the comments.
