Iowa State Basketball Player Anna Prins Proposed to at Her Own Game (VIDEO)

Whether or not you’re a fan of the Proposal at a Sporting Event, you have to admit Ryan De Hamer put a creative new spin on the idea: he proposed to his girlfriend of three years, Iowa State basketball player Anna Prins, while she was playing!

Yahoo Sports reports right after Iowa State beat Alabama State on Sunday afternoon, Cyclones coach Bill Fennelly walked onto the court to thank the fans and wish them a happy new year…but when he began to talk about family and Anna, it was revealed that he was part of a surprise proposal. Take a look at the video:

Spoiler: Anna said yes!

“I was crying,” she told a local newspaper. “I couldn’t have asked for a better place, just with all the people that were involved: Coach [Fennelly], my team, the fans in Hilton, my family was there. Pretty special.”

Coach Fennelly was impressed by Ryan’s scheme too: “He set the bar pretty high for all the other boyfriends,” he said.

Normally I’m not a fan of proposals at stadiums and such…but since basketball is obviously very important to Anna, this one’s an exception for me. Adorable!
