McDonald’s Calls Cops on Man Dressed as the Burger King (VIDEO)

‘The King’, back when Burger King was still using him as their mascot, was mostly known for showing up in unexpected places and being kind of creepy. A prankster apparently decided to capture the spirit of now-retired King earlier this week when he showed up in a McDonald’s dressed as the character. Unfortunately for him, his ‘performance’ creeped out the manager so much that she called the police.

At approximately 1 p.m. on Monday, a man dressed as the Burger King entered a McDonald’s in West Rome, Georgia, clutching several bags filled with hamburgers. He then began distributing the burgers to customers while dancing and taking pictures with children.

As the King was leaving the store, the store manager approached him and asked what he was doing, to which he responded that he was collecting money for charity. As this was clearly not what he was doing and he was being very evasive about it, the manager decided that he was a “suspicious person” and called the cops. No word on whether burger bandit-expert Officer Big Mac was dispatched to the scene.

The King promptly took off, fleeing the scene in a decidedly un-regal white Acura.

A video of the prank was posted on YouTube. Here it is:

What do you think? Was McDonald’s justified in calling the fuzz on the Burger King, or were they overreacting?
