Kristin Chenoweth Suffers Injuries on Set of ‘Good Wife’

Kristin Chenoweth was injured on Wednesday while filming a scene from The Good Wife. It was reported that a piece of scaffolding struck Kristin on the head.

“While filming a scene for ‘The Good Wife’ in Brooklyn, a gust of wind blew a lighting silk out of place striking actress Kristin Chenoweth,” says the studio. Lighting silk is a type of cloth that’s used to soften or deflect artificial light or sunlight.

The 43-year-old actress was treated on set, and then taken by an emergency team to the hospital. The extent of her injuries are unclear. Some reports say that injuries are minor while others claim that she was hit “square in the head” and was “knocked out cold.”

Whatever the extent of her injuries, we hope she recovers speedily. She’s a pro, and this isn’t her first on-set injury.

The actress injured her neck during a pre-Broadway engagement of Wicked in 2003, fell off an elevated section of a stage in the Broadway revival of The Apple Tree in 2006, and injured her back in a 2011 episode of Glee.

Kristen Chenoweth has won a Tony Award for her work in You’re a Good Man, Charlie Brown, and an Emmy for her role in Pushing Daisies.
