Scorned Wife Publicly Embarrasses Husband with ‘X-Husband Sale’
Carrie Underwood’s hit song, Before He Cheats, has come to life in Wisconsin this week – in a big way.
Passersby were surprised and amused to see the front lawn of a house in Superior, Wisconsin adorned with piles of junk, along with signs saying ‘FREE’ and ‘X-HUSBAND SALE’. Plenty of people stopped to gawk and snap photos of the acrimonious display, which also featured the husband’s GMC Yukon SUV with holes slashed in all four tires (paging Carrie!) and the word ‘cheater’, along with other slurs, spray painted on it.
Although neither the husband nor the wife could be reached for comment, a source says that the wife put the display together following the finalization of the divorce.
“It was a getting-rid-of-the-husband type of thing… I guess it was her kind of relief, her way to get rid of her anger,” the neighbour said.
So, will the wrathful wife find herself in any sort of legal trouble for this incident? Probably not. Superior Police Sgt. William Lear told the Duluth News Tribune that, “If it’s a running vehicle and someone wants to paint their own car, they can do it.”
What do you think? Assuming that the husband did cheat, is this a reasonable display of anger, or does it cross the line?
