Colin Farrell Spotted Shooting Scenes and a Sniper Rifle for ‘Dead Man Down’ (VIDEO)

Colin Farrell has had a busy week. The Irish actor, 35, has been hard at work in Philadelphia, filming scenes for his new action flick, Dead Man Down. He is seen in the above clip, holding a sniper rifle and looking pretty menacing.

In the film, Colin plays Victor, a New York mobster who is stricken with grief after his family is killed. He then vows to avenge their deaths by going undercover and killing kingpin Alphonse Hoyt. Little else is known about the plot of the film at this point, although the synopsis on Dead Man Down’s IMDb page currently states that,

“In New York City, a crime lord’s right-hand man is seduced by one of his boss’s victims, a woman seeking retribution.”

Our guess is that the woman in question is Noomi Rapace, who starred in the original Swedish version of Girl with the Dragon Tattoo. Dead Man Down also stars Dominic Cooper as Farrell’s partner, and Terrence Howard, as kingpin Alphonse Hoyt. Shooting just began, so don’t get too excited yet. The flick is expected to hit theatres next year.
