Nick Cannon Hospitalized! Star Quits Radio Show Over Serious Health Concerns
Nick Cannon, the 31-year-old actor, singer and radio host who is married to Mariah Carey, was hospitalized over the weekend after dangerous blood clots were found in his lungs.
Doctors also found evidence that a ventricle Cannon’s hear was enlarged. These medical concerns are a threat to Cannon’s life and it appears that he is currently undergoing the necessary steps to ensure his continued health.
As a result of these discoveries, Cannon has quit the show Rollin’ With Nick Cannon, which he hosted on the New York City radio station 92.3 NOW.
Cannon issued a statement about his decision:
“Under doctor’s orders, I have been asked to put my health first and cut back on some of my professional commitments in order to allow my body to get the rest that it needs to keep up with the demands of my multi-tasking schedule.”
“Even Superman has to sleep,” he added.
In addition to hosting a radio program, Cannon also serves as host of the NBC show America’s Got Talent and the syndicated television show Cannon’s Countdown. He plans to continue working on these shows, though perhaps at a reduced schedule.
Earlier this year, Cannon was hospitalized for kidney failure. Sounds like the guy is having a rough year.
