Maksim Chmerkovskiy Slams Judge Len Goodman on DWTS 2011 (WATCH)!
It was an intense night on DWTS 2011 last night and, perhaps not surprisingly, the man in the middle of the controversy was dancing pro Maksim Chmerkovskiy.
After performing the rumba with his partner Hope Solo Maks was less-than-pleased with the critique from Judge Len Goodman. Len began criticizing the couple over some of the technique used in the dance, which sparked outrage in the fans. The crowd started to boo (as they usually do with Len) and Maks encouraged the behavior.
When the crowd was finally under control, Len explained that he had been in the business for nearly 50 years to which Maksim shockingly replied “maybe it’s time to get out.”
Len’s co-judge Carrie Ann Inaba quickly piped in, telling Chmerkovskiy “Don’t be disrespectful like that.”
After they were told their score, which was 20 out of 30, Maks continued to slam the judges claiming “with all due respect, this is my show. You know, I helped make it what it is.”
Personally, I adore Maks and I think he’s one of the most entertaining pros on the show, HOWEVER, the judges were hired to JUDGE the performance on technique. The fans contribute half the score for entertainment value/likeability of the couple and the judges contribute half the score to technicality. That’s the way it is and always has been.
So, in this situation, I’m going to have to side with the judges.
